a cold monday

I brought my radio into the studio the other day, its constantly tuned to PLANET ROCK "turn up the rock". Below is a picture of my road, i like how dark and cold it is at the moment, especially when i have my super warm coat to keep me toasty, here are some MORE ideas for the Addis Berner Bear brief, i brought some hand made paper from an art sale at uni today and I'm really loving playing around with shape and pencil line, I'm considering screen print (i might have a go, but I'm awful at screen printing) I'm currently listening to Jay Farrar and Benjamin Gibbard, (especially loving California Zephyr) its one of the guys from Son's Volt and the front man from death cab, really lovely stuff, check it out. Love love xx

New Sketchbook and icecream

I did a swap with my friend Claire (her works amazing deffinatly worth a look) this week, i traded my teenage mutant ninja turtle's t-shirt (which was amazing but far too small) for 3 lovely moleskine sketchbooks. And here's the work I've been doing. I have a few ideas for stories rolling round my head but nothings leaping out at the moment, so watch this space. I've been talking to my friend Jack all evening, hes a really talented illustrator aswell, and also deffinatly worth a look, i feel much more inspired after talking to him. I'm feeling a bit ill at the moment :( but have my coach tickets booked to go to London on Thursday :), i've had a lovely weekend despite the weather. Love love love xxx

conspiracy theory

Here are some drawings from first year, i still love them, me and Joe decided that the amount of dead badgers on the road these days is defiantly no accident and in fact is a conspiracy, and really its the fact that badgers are allergic to spaghetti bolognaise and after people have taken them out on dates and accidentally killed them they leave them by the side of the road. I later found out, a man told me when i was working at the pub over the summer, that in fact there is a conspiracy theory around badgers, and hunters shoot them for fun and then leave them by the side of the road, and if you turn a dead badger over then you'll probably find a gun shot wound there somewhere. Morbid.

Paper fun

I've had an unproductive couple of days art wise but for good reason, my friend Helen came to visit :) she left today :( but Jessie who used to be a 3rd year came in today, we're going to see her show in London next week in the stolen space gallery, I'm really excited, you can check out her work here :) or here

Anyway, I'm still working on Addis Berner Bear, here's a few ideas, lots of flaps (ha ha) and interactive-y things, most likely more to come in the next few weeks, love love xx
